Review of The Connection Tree |
| |
"Can Donna Bauer, The CEO, Grow The Connection Tree Successfully?" |
| |
This Review of The Connection Tree will analyze the pros and the cons of The Connection Tree, a start-up real estate network marketing company. The Connection Tree must have the following for network marketing success: Leadership, exclusive market position, a UNIQUE product/service, a reasonable compensation plan, and a duplicative network marketing system for its associates.
The Connection Tree Management
Donna Bauer and The Connection Tree management team must be talented enough to transform their cash and human talent resources into a profitable network marketing company. Can they do it? Let’s look at the team: Donna Bauer - ubiquitous real estate professional and founder, then there is Nick Unsworth - the network marketing guru, William D. Schumacher II, John Diether, Dr. John Enyart, Steven Rosh, Cindy Kobmann, Roger Birkle, Vickie Goodwin, Emerson Brantley. Most of management has real estate industry experience, while a couple individuals do not: John Diether, Roger Birkle. With that being said, a heterogeneous experience pool is definitely necessary for growing a large company. However, the team seems light on the network marketing experience. Most start-up network marketing companies recruit a couple industry leaders who then bring their network marketing leaders and so forth. Nick Unsworth and possibly William Shumacher II could be those leaders however I am not 100% familiar with their accomplishments outside of a couple phone conversations with Nick and other The Connection Tree associates.
The Connection Tree Compensation Plan
I spoke with Nick Unsworth on the phone a couple weeks ago about the business model and The Connection Tree compensation plan. It’s not fully developed, as the company is in prelaunch. However he did mention The Connection Tree compensation plan to be a unilevel structure that will pay 8 levels deep. An associate with The Connection Tree would best be compensated with this structure by recruiting as many front line distributors as possible. Hopefully, this structure will work out for The Connection Tree.

The Connection Tree Product and Service
The fees to join The Connection Tree are as follows: annual fee of $100, monthly fee of $40. Is The Connection Tree network, products and services worth the price? Well, the available service at the moment is the offline real estate networking events. They might have an online facility to network, however it seems this service is still in the works. In addition, they’re looking to add a real estate education service, a property listing service and a couple other services to The Connection Tree. At the moment, much of the company’s services are still in the development phase. More so, much of The Connection Tree real estate network is also in the development phase. This may or may not bode well for the potential associate/distributor.
The Connection Tree Conclusion
The Connection Tree networking events at a price point of $40 monthly and $100 annually is reasonable for associates to pay. However, let’s consider the following question: Will associates keep paying thereafter? Only if The Connection Tree has a great support and associate retention system. The hype is unconvincing at the moment. On the other hand, the REI organizations, who happen not to be network marketing companies, have grown with a very similar pricing structure. Will enough associates join the company in a timely fashion to make the company profitable? That’s questionable as the network marketing experience in management may be perceived as insufficient. Last important question: Can associates make a lot of money? The answer is definitely yes, but at what cost and over what time period. How big of a network would you have to grow to make a significant income? Network marketing companies with similar pricing structures encourage a lot of recruitment and training to make it in the industry. On the other hand, nothing is without costs, so it’s up to the individual to decide if The Connection Tree is for them.
With that being said, I do believe that The Connection Tree has the possibility of becoming networking giants. However, all things considered, the most important question to ask is the following: Is The Connection Tree, the best opportunity for you?
