This Monatau Review will explore the major components of this new network marketing company. Will Monatau join the ranks of the MLM elite? The Products, market timing, support, leadership, and marketing will determine the success or failure of this new MLM venture.

Monatau’s market timing could be considered serendipitous by some. Consider the following. The Health and Wellness industry has grown leaps and bounds. In 2008, sales reached $112 billion with growth of 9% over 2007 sales. This growth is predicted to continue well into the next decade due to the following contributing factor: Baby boomers are aging. They hold the bulk of the wealth and the discretionary income in the US. With that said, a company like Monatau, with the right products, could make a bundle of money.

However, making money in a large market is not without certain caveats. The Health and Wellness Industry is a saturated market. Monatau will be facing off against a multitude of entrenched companies. To steal some market share away from these companies, Monatau and its products must be different or even MORE IMPORTANT, perceived as different. Perception is the key.

Monatau seems to understand this concept. Their products are cultivated at a ranch “sitting on seven hundred acres of farm land hidden away in the lush mountain ranges of Colorado.” Because of the special attributes of the land, Monatau’s products have age defying characteristics hence their motto: “Arrive, Alive and THRIVE at 125!” Quite catchy, however the company needs much more than smoke, mirrors, and age defying products.

Monatau Leadership

Network marketing companies need MLM leadership to a drive large sustainable network with thousands of distributors. However, in place of the needed MLM leadership, the company inserted historical references to HoneyCombs Industries to imply longevity and sustainability of Monatau. The website mentions: HoneyCombs Industries the sister company of Monatau has been around since 1971. The fact is undisputed, however the fact alone will not convince me that Monatau will last longer than a fruit fly’s life span. Sustainable network marketing companies must have a growing distributor base led by leaders in the MLM industry. After doing my research, I couldn’t find the MLM leaders of Monatau and a quick Google search of “Michael Combs” shows nothing related to the MLM industry. On the other hand, a Google search is not the be-all-end-all. He could’ve accomplished much of his network marketing success before the advent of Google. Or let’s consider the following possibility: Google still might be “crawling” his MLM success stories. A simpler less facetious explanation: You don’t have to be network marketing professional to run a MLM company.

Even with that being said, I’d still like to know: Who are the MLM leaders associated with Monatau? Where are the direct sales superstars at? Without these leaders, the company is mediocre at best. “Michael Combs” must cultivate these leaders or recruit them into the company.

Monatau Marketing System

In addition to leadership, the marketing system for Monatau is equally as important. The marketing system should incorporate newer recruitment channels such as social networks, forums and blogs etc. These platforms are underutilized however extremely effective and efficient. At first glance, the company seems resistant to online marketing systems. Hopefully this will change as online marketing is the future of MLM.
