I got my start in the home business world in
1992
while working full time as a Paramedic and FireFighter, I joined a
company called Quorum. It was a MLM (multi-level marketing) business
that specialized in personal security products and I thought I was
going to be rich. That lasted about a year until I realized that It was
not going to make me a dime, actually it cost me quite a bit.
Soon after my MLM opportunity, I got started
into
the real estate craze and used some of what I learned to buy my first
home. That didn't quite turn into the empire I had envisioned either.
As time went on I dabbled in a few other
home
businesses and eventually fell into Internet marketing; which started
with my wife and I creating a home fitness series and marketing it via
the Internet. Nothing was automated back then and we were on our own,
looking back we did a decent job and stayed with it for quite a while.
But the return on our investment wasn't worth the time.
A few years later I was still working like a
dog
and that entrepreneurial spirit rose up and bite me again. I dove back
into Internet marketing to find the industry had exploded with all
kinds of opportunities and products to market. The systems had become
more automated and user friendly and boy was I pumped. I worked at
a few businesses that had some success and some
failures.
At the end of the day, what made the
difference, was the right opportunity and I learning the art
and science of marketing. I have fallen in love with marketing and the
crazy
opportunities that the ever changing Internet has afforded us.
There are some great businesses out their
for
you to
become a part of and if you treat them as a business and not a hobby
you can change your financial future forever.
I
am no GURU, just an average guy who worked
as a
public servant, so if I can do this, SO Can You. Find a home based
business you can get excited about and a mentor you feel comfortable
with and go for it.
