Infomercial Marketing Work For You?"
ITV Ventures was founded by Donnald Barrett
in 2001 under the name of Direct Marketing concepts in incorporated
into ITV Ventures in 2003. Barrett, who had some humble beginnings
working as a pizza chef and independent nutritional representative, had
vision of direct response marketing system through infomercials, which
he merged he eventually merged with home
based business opportunities.
Ok, So what Acutually Is ITV
Ventures?
ITV promotes a variety of products mostly in
the health and wellness arena. The products are promoted though high
quality infomercials and prospects are directed to you the home
business owner and sales agent to close the deal.
Having a prospect call you after seeing a
product or service is without doubt one the most targeted leads you
will ever get. This is what direct response marketing is all about, the
prospect sees something and responds to it by taking some type of
action. Now if you have a ton of phone experience and already have some
good closing skills. This very well may be the right opportunity for
you.
But this type of lead is not cheap and
though ITV you can end up paying $10-$25 bucks for each lead depending
on the type. ITV Ventures also offers a cheaper lead at $2-$3 bucks a
lead that you cold call from home.
Using the phone to call leads can be very
lucrative but before you start spending even a few dollars a lead you
should practice on a few hundred that will cost you next to nothing,
say 20 cents a lead tops.
So, What Does It Cost?
To become a ITV Rep the initial business
cost is $299 which is your home
business starter kit, then there is a
few mandatory extras. First you have to pay $29.99 a month for your
back office, basically this keeps you as part of the system.
There is a $100 per month mandatory Minimum.
That means either you buy and use $100 per month worth of product or
you get 4 people to buy product and use it every month (4 product
sales). So you have to pay a minimum of $129 per month.
Next is the home agent fee, this is the
system that directs the prospects to you. There is a $49 set up fee and
$59 service fee each month. So in reality for being a part of ITV
Ventures you have to pay $190 bucks a month before any lead fees. The
ITV home agent system also charges a per call (lead) fee of $10-25
dollars. This is you cost per lead and you better be exceptional on the
phone or you will waste a ton of cash.
I am not a fan of ITV Ventures, I have never
joined or started some membership with them. I know from personal
experience that phone skills are something that anyone can acquire with
top notch mentoring and training and a lot of calls before you get
good. But, the cost per lead that you are charged through the ITV
systems has the potential to cost you a ton of cash in a short amount
of time.
