whose expertise lies in the "short-selling" field of real estate, which
primarily relates to pre-foreclosure sales.
The technique for this home business
involves negotiating with
banks (lenders) on properties that are in risk of being foreclosed on.
You are taught to look for homes with 1st and 2nd mortgages and assume
the first mortgage and negotiate a huge deal with the bank on the
second. In the end you hope to end up buying the house for less than it
is worth.
Sounds simple, but dealing with banks and
locating properties that truly fit the formula is extremely time
consuming, not to mention that in the end you still have to cover the
note on the mortgage until you either rent or sell the property.
That's a risky investment given the current
trends in the real estate market.

and from what I have read, you can spend anywhere from 4 to $10,000. I
have not spent the time to nail down their numbers, but if you talk to
one of their sales reps, Don't Jump In… take your time.
In
the end, I believe that Tom Butler has been able to make his short sale
technique work for him. It looks to have a huge learning curve and if
you don't have the start up cash; well that's another hurdle.
I don't recommend getting involved in the
real estate business, unless you have some expendable capital. The
rewards on one deal can be enormous, but so can the loss.
